The 1st XI endured a tough day against Andover, falling to a 120-run defeat. After being asked to bowl first, the side made early inroads thanks to Jonathan Willey (4/45) and Jake Peach (2/36), who removed the top three cheaply. However, an unbeaten 96 from Nyasha Mayavo rescued Andover from 65/4, supported by 27 from Max Souter, pushing the hosts to 221 all out.
In reply, P&S collapsed. Only Felix Stanley (24) and Tom Wheeler (15) offered brief resistance as John Nyumbu ripped through the order with 5/24. Wickets tumbled steadily and the innings closed on just 101, sealing a convincing win for Andover.
2nd XI – Hard-Fought Win Over Shanklin & Godshill by 24 Runs

Shanklin & Godshill CC 1st XI: 179 all out (44.3 overs)
Result: Portsmouth & Southsea won by 24 runs
Points: P&S 23 pts – Shanklin & Godshill 10 pts
The 2nd XI edged home in a tight contest, defending 203 to seal a 24-run victory. After losing George Wilson for a golden duck, Harrison Whitworth (43) and Henry Ferrett (33) rebuilt strongly, while Qaiser Naveed chipped in with 40. A late burst from Mani Noor-Spencer (16 off 7) boosted the total past 200.
With the ball, P&S started perfectly as Jurie De Villiers (3/37) and Sanka Purna (3/24) sliced through the top order, reducing Shanklin to 55/6. A stubborn knock from Harry Moore (54) and some lower-order resistance threatened P&S, but crucial wickets from Karthik Muthuraman (2/24) and Matt Wheeler sealed the win with Shanklin bowled out for 179 and the 2's still sitting top of the league.
4th XI – Maiden Wheeler Ton In Win Over Havant
Havant CC 3rd XI: 176 all out (39.4 overs)
Portsmouth & Southsea CC 4th XI: 180/2 (29.3 overs)
Result: Portsmouth & Southsea won by 8 wickets
Points: P&S 24 pts – Havant 7 pts
A fantastic all-round performance saw the 4th XI claim an emphatic win over Havant by 8 wickets. With the ball, Harrison Milne was outstanding, taking 4/18 in a lively spell, well backed by Elliot Athawes (2/20) and Gulliver Bailey (2/19) as Havant were restricted to 176.
In reply, the run chase belonged to Jacob Wheeler, who produced his maiden ton 114* (14 fours, 3 sixes) to anchor the innings in style. He found steady support from Oliver Smith (24) and Elliot Athawes (14 not out) as P&S cruised home with more than 20 overs to spare, finishing the innings in style with Jacob hitting a huge six over square leg.
