Match report Ben won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. Jono took an early wicket, but this was a very isolated incident as the innings progressed. An excellent spell by Felix prevented Parley from getting completely away. As it happened, they recorded two stands of over 70 for the 2nd and 4th wickets.
Rain was forecast and it arrived after 40 overs had been bowled. It was rather gentle at first, but then turned into the sort of precipitation that finishes matches. This was probably a good result for the home side as Laird was unbeaten on 83 from 64 balls when the game was abandoned.
