Match report A trip to Sarisbury Green saw the Swans continue their winning streak.
Winning the toss and bowling first, the swans restricted the Sirens well. Limited wickets taken however, 1 for Sooze, who was on form, produced a lovely straight ball to hit middle stump and bowled her maiden maximum overs in a league game and a great caught and bowled from Trac. The lack of wickets taken certainly doesn't take away from the quality of the bowling on display. Runs were kept low, a few extras given but the end result of the innings was a doable run chase for the Swans.
Into bat saw our opening pair work well with Mash looking to go big at every opportunity and Midge supporting well. Trac and Nikki in next, keep the runs coming and no wickets lost after the first 8. The 9th saw our first wicket fall with Fran getting the better of Roisin with the ball coming through to hit the stumps and another in the eleventh saw a catch off Gills bat by Sirens Diane at cover. Mandy was on form in the fourth pair with some big boundary smashes, but a swing at a straight ball was our final wicket lost. However, the pair delivered and took us over the score needed. Last pair in had a job to do, keep it simple, play it safe and they did what was needed well.
