Match report Matt won the toss and chose to field. At the halfway stage, they were 72 for 1 with skipper Craig Jeffery going well, but in the next over, Tom Wheeler sent back both the captain and former Havant keeper Jez Bulled. Karthik then bowled Tucker second ball. In the next over Tom Benfield took his third catch behind off Tom Wheeler to dismiss Barnwell during a wicket maiden !
The last seven overs produced 51 runs and two wickets. The target of 135 did not look demanding. After two overs there were 8 runs on the board. In the third over Ned hit three sixes, but his innings ended in the following over when he skied a catch.
The Benfield brothers then added 54 in 28 balls before Matt departed. Tom sustained the innings, hitting one delivery over the pavilion before he was stumped off a wide with only two runs needed. Elliot, showing no nerves, administered the coup de grace from the last ball of the 17th over.
