Match report Once again the weather was conducive to cricket and Sway quickly decided to bat first. However, they lost an early wicket when Bernard, injured in the warmup was castled by Jake. The next wicket was a long time coming, 64 having been added in 19 overs. Felix was the beneficiary and his excellent spell prevented an increase in the run rate.
The scoreboard read 94 for 4 in the 31st over. Harradine and Walter then added 66, the best partnership of the innings, ended by Quinn at 160. Harradine was dismissed by Max at 184 and the innings was over 26 runs later. Jake accounted for the last three in nine deliveries.
Sway would have disappointed with 210, but pleased when Matt departed in the eighth over. There followed a fine partnership of 103 with Felix and Ned showing fine form. When Felix was out, Jack and Alex were dismissed with 20 runs added before Ned and Tom put on 50 for the fifth wicket. When Tom departed only 11 runs were needed. This was reduced when Harradine donated five penalty runs after hurling the ball towards Ned after a defensive stroke.
Appropriately, Ned finished the match with 2.5 overs remaining and maximum points secured.
