Match report New Milton won the toss and batted in fine but breezy weather. They were given a good start, Adams and Shrubsole combining to make 59 in 15 overs. This solid beginning was to some extent wasted as 110 were added for the loss of all ten wickets from the 35 remaining overs. Credit for this is due to the P & S bowlers, especially Ben who recorded his best figures of the new season, all four victims being from the top seven in the order.
However, the home batting was less impressive. Jake went in at 72 for 7 with 26 overs remaining and helped Dean register the highest stand of the innings. When he departed at 109, the game was up, 16 runs short of a much needed batting point.
