Match report If we thought last time's team was young and inexperienced, today took it to another level - but they put up a great show.
Skipper Gully and fellow senior (in his first game) Devaansh got us off to a great start with tidy running and Gully retiring. Devaansh almost did too but was run out one shy. Apart from Gully, Finn was our only other player who had played indoors before and his positivity was clear before he moved too far across to be LBW. George played nicely until he got a good one to knock back off stump. Lucas crashed a couple of square cuts before being bowled and Henry saw us home unbeaten, pulling a County U12 (now 13) for a couple of scoring shots. Closing just shy of 100 was a good effort.
However, their senior guys dovetailed well with a mix of back wall hitting and great running chased us down with half the overs remaining.
Nevertheless a really good start from all our newbies. We'll be seeing you again!
