Match report Another sunny day persuaded Fair Oak to bat first on winning the toss, but the first wicket fell in the fourth over and by the time Matt finished his seventh over, he had three wickets in his best spell of the season so far and the total was 30 for 3. The next wicket fell to Max, but not before 30 had been added by Shaun Reed and Clark. Both players were out with the board showing 60, Ewen having snared Reed. This started something of a procession with 3 more wickets falling in ten overs (83 for 8). The home bowlers had to work harder for the last two wickets thanks to Gradwell’s calm opposition.
Shaun and Matt ensured a fast start with 26 in the first four overs before Shaun was caught behind. McKenzie’s off spin accounted for Ewen at 38 (10 overs). Matt looked in really good form , but was caught at mid on with 56 still needed. Jack and Toby ensured that no more wickets fell; their partnership contained eleven boundaries.
