Match report Liphook fielded seven of their first team from the previous day’s Division One defeat . P & S chose nine of their winning team at Basingstoke . The outcome was a resounding victory in the Plate quarterfinals.
Liphook were set a daunting 210 to win and never looked like making it. That total was built largely by two partnerships:73 for the third wicket between Jack and Dean; and 71 between Alex and Tom in 4.3 overs for the fifth wicket.
Liphook reached 34 in seven overs before losing their second wicket, but their highest partnership was just 21 for the sixth wicket between Zawoda and Flack as Ben mopped up the tail.
