Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost By 17 runs

Match report Our first ever 11s soft ball match was played at a chilly Hayling Park, where the welcome was at least warm! With many 1st match players on both sides it was a well contested game with Hayling finding more boundaries being perhaps the main difference. Sam got us an early wicket with a well judged caught and bowled. Daniel and James picked up bowled wickets while Fin was unlucky to hit the top of the stumps without taking the bails off but did grab a wicket thanks to an excellent Sanna catch. All bowled well with both Henry and Lucas putting their new Dynamos skills to the test.
With the bat everyone kept out tough balls and some great shot making brought 4s for Sam, Sanna, Lucas and Charlie. In the end though we didn’t quite make enough to win but a great start from our newbies and the likes of “old timers” Fin & Sanna led our game play well. Good job all. (& thanks to Emma for scoring).
