Match report The sunny, rural setting of Tichborne Park saw a comprehensive win for P & S, who dominated in all departments. Aided by a host of extras, Jack and Matt had 63 on the board in just eight overs before the first wicket fell.Ollie departed 13 runs later so Alex, promoted to number four, joined Jack to add 52 in nine overs. Tom and Jack took the score on to 170 at which point Jack’s fine innings was terminated by the most gentle of polite enquiries. After Tom was dismissed, Dean and Ben added 46 for the sixth wicket. There followed an unexpected collapse when four wickets were lost for 5 runs, but 249 looked a daunting target for the home side and so it proved.
After seven overs, Jake and Jono had reduced Tichborne to 12 for three. Primmer and Jake Bristow showed the necessary fight in their 52 run partnership, but once they were parted, the end was not long in coming. Keiron and Ben shared the last seven wickets while Dean continued to be a magnet for the ball.
