Match report Choosing to bat, skipper Lenny, with Tom alongside him, got us off to good start. With good sensible cricket the pair were untroubled when we were surprised to watch Tom offer a caught and bowled chance that was gratefully accepted. After Lenny was run out, trying to take what looked like an optimistic single, we rather lost our way. Cam was caught behind and Ben and Dinel both run out. Jacob hit his 5th straight four of the evening (4 came for the 13s thought) before trying one too many times and was bowled. Posting 90 we needed things to go our way in the field.
It looked very hopeful when Ben opened up with 4 dots and wicket before finding the edge with the last ball ball of a fantastic first over. Although Lenny and Cam combined to get us a run out and Dinel somehow earned us a Hit Wicket scalp we couldn't get their "big guns" and we were beaten by 3 wickets with an over and a bit to spare.
With a bit more of a level headed batting performance we might have found the extra 10 or 15 runs to make it more interesting. Onwards and upwards folks.
