Match report A mixed P&S team had an entertaining evening against Purbrook, Oscar won the toss and chose to field first, our bowling was a mix of the good, the bad and the wayward! A total of 27 wides and no balls contributed to nearly 50 % of the Purbrook score. Henry F and Henry O'H, our leg spin twins were the pick of the bowlers and both deserved their wickets with turn and bounce. Talitha's was too quick for their batsman and picked up the other wicket. Our fielding was generally pretty good with Ollie P throwing himself behind the around trying to stop the many wides we bowled which kept him a bit quieter than normal! Talitha and Jacko opened the batting and got us off to a good start, both retiring after 5 overs. Oscar smashed his way to quick 15, Henry O hit 3 4's before trying one hit too many and Henry F raced to 16 to retire, Talitha came back in and hit another 15 in 6 balls before retiring again and it was left to Jacko and Joesph to perform some comical running much to the amusement of the crowd. All in all a good exercise giving P&S and Purbrook the chance to try some new ideas and their players much needed match practice.
