Match report On a lovely summer evening at St James, Fareham won the toss and elected to bat. To say our bowling was inconsistent was an understatement, far too many wides and no balls contributing nearly a third of Fareham's runs. On the plus side Ryan probably produced his best bowling performance of the season and was very unlucky not to pick up more than one wicket, Henry was our other wicket taker whilst Jacob was unlucky not to get one. Our fielding was generally quite good although some of the boys need to concentrate when backing up. We only took three wickets so needed to produce something special with our batting if we were to win the game. Like our bowling our batting was also very inconsistent, we preceded to lose 9 wickets of which most were bowled or run out, learning how to stop straight balls will be worked on this winter as will our calling when running. In amongst these wickets Henry and Jacob produced the best two innings of the night, with both finding the boundary regularly but the loss of 9 wickets meant we were never really in with a chance of winning. Good to see Elliott E and Talitha taking on scoring duties.
