Match report Away to Locks heath for the 11B's and a solid performance all round. Put into bat we opened up with Felix and Ryan. Both batted well and got the score moving quickly and but for a run out at the end when chasing a run that wasn't there, they would have got through unscathed. With the score on 27 the Wheeler boys came to the crease and after a quiet first over they began to motor. First to find the boundary was Jacob with a huge six followed by a four and then Sam found the rope in the next over, some quick singles and wides from the bowlers meant that the score was 61-2 at the halfway stage of the innings. Will and Will in next and after a quiet opening two overs they found there groove and got the score to 82-3 including a cracking boundary from Will H. The final pair of Henry F and Henry O got to the crease with a fantastic base to go from and wasted no time in building on it. Quickly run singles were mixed with crunching shots to the boundary including 5 fours for Henry O, all for the loss of just 1 more wicket and we finished our innings on 146 - 4.
Whilst our batting was excellent our fielding and bowling was even better. Star of the show was Felix, showcasing his off spin he took 4 wickets, Sam and Jacob took two apiece and there was one for Henry F and a well deserved wicket for Ryan. No luck for the Wills but they bowled well and just to illustrate how good our fielding was we took 3 run outs as well. Special mention as well for Henry O'Hara who took the gloves behind the stumps and did a fantastic job, snaffling two catches along the way. All in all a great performance and with bowling bonuses added we ran out 92 run winners 211 to 119. Well done everyone.
