Match report Not our finest outing.
Tidy bowling and some poor shot selection left us 4 down in next to no time. A decent partnership between Tristan C and main aggressor Joel got us back on track. Unfortunately when Joel slammed a ball into mid-ons hand things looked bleaker again. However, with the steady Tristan for company Lenny, then Tom found the ropes with good shots. Once they and Teddy had perished Tristan played a lone hand to perfection. With Teddy running hard for him, Tristan's last man stand used all the overs to reach the retirement score off the last ball. 127 was riches considering where we had been but well short of the score this line up is capable of.
With the ball and in the field, with a few moments of exception, it must be said we were lack lustre - at best. They bowled 18 extras, we handed them 43 - and somehow still took the game into the 19th over. A little more of a fire in our bellies will help next time out. We are better than this evening, let's show it next time. Onwards and upwards.
