Match report Being asked to field first their skipper got us chasing around as she retired. Good work from Tristan N earned us 2 run outs and wickets for Lenny and Alex thanks to catches from Alex and Freddie respectively kept a lid on things. All of which left us chasing a relatively modest 110 to win.
Freddie exploded out of the blocks and retired in quick time but tight bowling meant short stays from both Tristans, Joel & Lenny. This left it to Alex and Freddie to get us home. When the skipper was caught on the back wall Alex was left with a couple of overs to get 18. A six and a few extras left him with 7 need off the last six. 4 wides first up and a couple of side wall hits left 2 needed off two. A flick to leg off the penultimate ball left one needed off the last. With everyone holding their breath, Alex middled one into the net at cover and watched in slow motion as the point fielder slid in and caught, then juggled and finally floored the tough chance. So, we ran out winners by the finest of margins. Well played all.
