Match report What a great night for all involved, we had 19 U9-U11 children play in tonight's interclub match. All of the players had a fantastic attitude and most importantly enjoyed themselves. There is no way we could pick a player of the match as everyone gave their all! Congratulations to Neko, Oscar, Henry, Ryan, Harry, Robert, Felix, Jacob D, Talitha, Jacob W, Samuel, Harrison M and Jack on their first match.

Some bowling highlights of the evening were 3 wickets for Neko on his debut but a special bowling mention has to go to 7 year old Samuel Wheeler, in his first match, for a wicket maiden then only 1 run given away in his 2nd over - amazing! Fielding was excellent all round but it was great to see a couple of catches each for the Etherington brothers plus catches for Robert and Henry.

Batting-wise, highlights were a score of almost 50 runs between our most experienced pair, Harrison and Tom, including a couple of 6s for Harrison and 3 4s in a row for Tom, a little bit of showboating from the pair and some very cheeky running made for an entertaining 4 overs (we won't mention they both got out though!) Other highlights were high scores for Roman, Elliott and Henry plus some particularly entertaining running by Jacob and Samuel Wheeler which resulted in a fair bit of crowd participation.

We are really proud of all the children this evening and look forward to seeing them progress throughout the season. A big thanks to Ben and Danny for excellent umpiring, it's almost unbelievable that the game finished completely tied!
