Match report Another good performance from the 11As.

A slight change to the team saw Henry Collins and Robert Higgins play this evening and they definitely made their mark, both with sublime catches!

We bowled first and started taking wickets quickly, it was a great night for Jack, bowling a wicket maiden plus 2 further wickets and Ryan taking 2 wickets in what was probably his best bowling performance all season. Tom Wheeler looked deadly, taking a wicket in his 1st over then going on to bowl a maiden, if the innings hadn't finished so quickly he would have definitely gone on to bowl a 3rd. He was, as always, confident in the field and attempted a diving catch not many adult players would have gone for! Roman and Finlay both took wickets. Sarisbury's innings ended on 90 runs in just over 16 overs so it definitely looked liked a total we could beat.

The team didn't get off to a good start with openers Jack and Tom both caught out for 0 runs. Harrison and Ryan came in 3rd and 4th and both batted well,Ryan retired on 33 runs and Elliott came into bat. With only 16 runs required to win and 9 overs left he was told his role was to try and help see out the overs ensuring the team hit their target runs and for the first few balls he looked as if he would do that as defended sensibly but on the last ball of the 12th over he took a swing at a straight ball and was bowled for 0.

Fin came into bat in the 13th over with now just 14 runs required, Harrison hit his 5th 4 of the match then ran a bye on the last ball of the over to get back on strike in the 14th. Needing 3 to win he hit 2 off the 1st ball then another 4 off the 2nd taking the total runs to 93 and him finishing on 31 not out, his first innings of the season with over 30 runs.
