Match report I'm very pleased to report a further win and an unbeaten season that will see our U16 Indoor side crowned Champs; the second time in 3 years for most of the cohort.
That all sounds great and after awards night I'll write up the season. For now though I have to report on a bit of a damp squib of an evening. Given a new type of ball to bowl with we managed to bowl more wides tonight than we've bowled over 3 previous weeks. With the seamers taking a bit of time to get used to the ball, it was left to Freddie to weave his magic for us. Bowling one and having Tristan's tidy gloves help effect two stumpings means the younger Gadd has over taken our own Dan T at the top of the leagues role of honour (on runs per over). They closed on 93 which we hoped would be well within our capabilities.
As it transpires it was, but we struggled to come to terms with the lack of pace and ground our way home thanks to extras and Nick's steadying innings.
Well done to all who helped us win the league, the core of Harlan, Freddie, Tristan C, Nick, Dan & Ollie and to Josh, Tristan N and Joel who will have far bigger parts to play next term. Until awards night then.....
