Match report Although we were well beaten it was by a talented and much more experienced side and we put in a really good performance. Going at 10 an over early on it was a shame to see Freddie overbalance trying to hit their spinner to the wall. Arthur got things rocking with aggressive running but was just a bit too keen to see both Will and Josh end up short of runs. When Arthur fell to a neat catch and Charlie missed out, Tristan showed real maturity in finding gaps and, with Charlie, ran well to get us to a commendable 107 at halfway.
With the ball we bowled straight but they started running well. After their opener retired Charlie induced a catch to Freddie to see off the no.3. Our spinners, Will and Tristan, caused the most trouble with Tristan rounding off a great allround performance picking up our second wicket. Despite that they got home with 3 overs to go. Nevertheless, well played our lads.
