Match report P and S won the toss and batted. Unusually we lost the Peach twins early but Harry G played an excellent innnings of patience early on and then accelerated to his retirement. After Jez was bowled attacking the bowling Joe Martin and Ollie K steadied the ship initially and then started to scamper to push the score on a bit. Ollie was bowled by the returning opening bowler and Joe by their spinner coming back for the last over. Harlan had a quick swing and we had pushed the score up to 122 for 5 off our 20 overs.
Waterlooville started off very assuredly and with little risk. Harlan managed to bowl one of the openers, but the No3 and No1 both pushed on a bit and the score was moving on well. After the No1 bat had retired, the game looked to be heading waterlooville's way with 40ish required off the last 8 overs. But then Freddie Gadd managed to tempt the No3 and No4 into finding Jonty's hands in the field. Charlie Peach then started an amazing spell of wicket taking bagging 4 wickets for no runs in two overs one thanks to a smart stumping by Ollie K. Harlan came back to claim another wicket due to a top catch in the slips by Ollie S leaving Charlie to take last man with the first ball of his 3rd over. Charlie finished with the excellent figures of 2.1 overs 5 wickets for zero runs !
