Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost by 24 runs

Match report Our final outing of the season ended in defeat as our relatively inexperienced side can up against a much improved Portsmouth Community. Congratualtions to Bradley on his first game in which he bowled very tightly (particualrly his second over) and batted in a very composed manner. Fielding first, our wides and no-balls gave them a good start. We pulled things back through an excellent spell from Tristan which yielded 3 wickets. Robbie bowled two maidens being unlucky with some really close shaves and brave Ben took 2 wickets before collecting a run out effort on the bridge of his nose! Further wickets from Avi, with help from Reese's good gloves and a bowled from Oliver plus run outs from Ben and Theo help keep them to 270.
In reply every pair had a positive partnership with fours struck by Robbie and Theo. However, ultimately we need to learn to take singles and better choose the shots we play.
Nevertheless well done all who have played for the B's this year, we look forward to seeing your cricket blossom over the next few seasons.
