Match report Fabulous result from a ten man team consisting of only three over seventeens.
Bowling first we did a pretty good job of containing them to 68 for 4 but then they put together a partnership of 84 they seemed to be taking the game away until a good strike back with sound bowling from Jack T taking 3 wickets and a magical spell of 3 for 7 from Andy C ably supported with wickets from Rich, Kai, Ben and Connor (welcome back) brought us back into the game restricting them to 189, which still looked a big challenge.
Big Al did his usual structured demolition innings putting on 54 with Andy, this led to an excellent partnership of 70 with Ollie which put us in with a chance before Big Al fell for 48. (Hope to report good news of this innings next week).
This set the game up for a tense finish bringing Jack T in, having just returned from Greece the night before, to partner Ollie who between them demolished the Ville bowling, adding 63 off 8 overs before Ollie fell for an excellent 50 with 3 runs needed. The win was duly secured with Jack T finishing on a swashbuckling 41 not out. A wonderful result from a bunch of lads out to enjoy a game of cricket with no pretensions or egos but a great team spirit and support for each other.
