Match report Portsmouth Community won the toss and chose to bat first. Their top order proved resilient to the P&S attack of Leo Patterson and Sam Corbett but the two opening bowlers did manage to restrict their run rate. The spinners Seth Jackson and Sam Collings-Wells then removed the openers and the wickets began to fall assisted by some sharp fielding. The solid start and a surge in the closing over enabled the visitors to post a target of 125 with the loss of 7 wickets. The P&S fielding looked much improved and the team were confident with the task going into bat.
Openers Jackson and Collings-Wells began their innings with their usual positive play. Sam CW fell for 12 brining an on form Sam Corbett to the crease. Seth maintained his strike rate retiring at 50 off 32 balls. Significant contributions from Sam Corbett (26) and Tom Benfield (20) left U14s Seb Herold and Charlie Corbett to finish the chase off in the 15th over.
