Hi All,
I hope this note finds you looking forward to the cricket season (and for once the weather seems to want to play too!).
With the season on the doorstep, the time has come for a concerted effort to get our St James' Cricket Ground and facilities ready for us to enjoy. As part of the England and Wales Cricket Board's "Get Set Weekend" we are looking for as many club members and volunteers to come along to the ground on Saturday 5th April to tackle the long list of jobs we need to undertake.
Attached is a, non-exhaustive, list of things we need to do and as the saying goes - many hands make like work. Therefore, please do come along on Saturday from 9.30am and lend a hand. Whether you can spare us the entire day or just an hour or two all help will be gratefully received and benefit the whole club.
While we have tools to help in the work, please do bring along anything you might think useful (perhaps gloves, a rake, loppers, spade, broom etc etc) as this will ensure we can all be of maximum use.
Teas and coffees will be on tap, the bar will be available and I've even heard a rumor of cakes!
Thank you in anticipation of your support for our club and I look forward to seeing a crowd of you on Saturday.
