Match report The Swans were back at home after a few away fixtures and the lovely weather made for a great day for cricket.

A great team performance secured a convincing victory against the Kites. Winning the toss Nikki sent the kites into bat. Midge opened the bowling for the Swans with a very tidy over, Aimee and Nikki kept it tight and the 4th over saw the first 3 of 15 wickets fall. Chappers ( 3-26) producing 2 lovely balls, both hitting off stump and a quick bit of fielding saw a run out. Another run out in the 5th along with 2 balls from Samuels ( 4-13) that sent the bails flying saw the kites struggling to get off the mark. Nikki and Midge picked up one each in the 8th and 9th and Midge got her second in the 12th with a fantastic caught and bowled. A catch from Mandy at short mid saw Aimee get our 10th, Katie bowled a rocket ball claiming the 11th and some quick work from Gill saw us claim a 12th. A catch from Nikki at cover and another from Mandy at short mid saw Samuels set herself up for another near fifer in the 17th but our final wicket taken by an on form Chappers. The kites didn't have a response for the bowling onslaught and finished with a target of 11 runs.
Into bat the Swans were relaxed, Chappers and Katie up first and Katie answered with a fantastic performance with 7 boundary fours, finishing her figures on 31 off 13. Nikki and Gill kept the runs ticking over and the Midge and Mash partnership worked well once again, our first wickets fell in 10 and 11, Clanfields Andrea was on form, with a straight ball getting the better of Mash and then taking a great catch a square leg to give Lydia (2-21) her 1st of 2. Mandy and Samuels batting well, both chipping in. Aimee and Sooze last in were faced with some nice bowling from the kites, Ray (2-29) picked up 2 in the 18th, and our final wicket lost by another outstanding catch from Andrea on the boundary.
The match was played in good spirits, a good atmosphere, lovely sunshine, music and a good crowd of spectators.
Well played all!
