Match report The final T20 group match was played in searing hot weather with both teams containing the same number of first team players. Alex chose to field first and Jake responded with a fine spell to make Havant 30 for 2 from 4 overs. Half of the over quota was bowled by the three teenagers, playing against Southern League veterans, Hindley, Morgan and Hayward to add to their experience. The outfield was parched and quick.
Chasing 154, a good start was necessary and was provided by Qasir and Jack who were quickly into their stride. Qasir was first out in the 8th over with the total on 72. Ned soon followed before Jack and Alex put on 34 in four overs. Tom joined Jack at 114 for 3 in the 14th over. His three sixes were off three different bowlers and made the outcome inevitable.
