Match report Another win. We had a couple lads taking their bow this season so it was good to see them hit the ground running (if not quite sprinting).
This time our batting was more recognisable as indoor batting. Ollie and Jacob ran really well but also found the back wall when on offer. It was against the run of play when Ollie nicked off close to retirement. Jacob too look odds on for retirement when he was comfortably run out out. Sam continued the aggressive running (although on occasion a little tighter than ideal - as in addition to Jacob we also lost Ryan & Henry to run outs). Nevertheless, Sam held the innings together. Even with the busy running, an effortless six off their main man was the highlight. We closed at 133 with 4 balls un-bowled.
With the ball Henry bowled a great spell - perhaps better even than his 5 wicket haul last time out - as he beat the bat again and again. Sam at the other end bowled with great fizz and flight. These two gabbed our wickets but Louie, Ryan and Jacob all contributed plenty of dots allowing us to keep a lid on things, ensuring we were always just that bit in front. In the end they closed just under 30 runs short.
