Match report A tidy all round bowling performance punctuated by their number 3s aggressive but controlled hitting saw them post what I’d assess as a par score. Highlights of our fielding performance were Jacob hurrying one through a back footed opener, Felix tempting the other opener to send a mistimed drive stratospheric and watch Harrison take a cool catch plus Henry F bowling two bats looking to the short side.
We batted solidly with few alarms and some innovative shot making from each bat. However, our pacing of the innings throughout and push for the target was perhaps not addressed soon enough in the chase. Having missed out on 2 games we could have won, the learning could be how we balance risk and reward.
If we can learn that we have all the tools to be a top side. Next time eh?
