Match report Losing the toss we were asked to bat first against a strong Havant side, Jacob and Talitha got us off to a solid start with Jacob rattling up the boundaries but 25-0 off 3 overs became 30-6 off 6 overs including losing 3 wickets in one over. Felix and Henry O saved the day with a very mature partnership against some decent bowling, on a good wicket Felix used the pace of the ball to keep the scoreboard ticking over with Henry offering great support. We closed on 99-7 which was a great recovery by 2 of our U13s. Havant batted very sensibly taking few risks and we stuck to our task and made them work hard for their runs but in the end we never really looked like getting a wicket against their County and RPC batters. Jacob was entrusted with the captaincy and did a good job, everyone batted and everyone bowled which isn't always an easy thing to manage.
