Match report An excellent performance this afternoon. We learnt all our lessons from last time out and put together as good a game as I remember from this side. Things didn't quite start as we would have hoped with both openers going for ducks. However, Henry O and Sam's intelligent no risk cricket saw Henry hurry to retirment. Sam sadly fell just a run shy due to an unexpected true bounce off the difficult wall and a good peice of fielding. Making his first apparance of the season Elliot played a very mature hand too and with Ryan got us well set for a final push. Once Ryan had gone, Elliot comfortably passed the retirement score and in the returning Henry's company kept pushing on. With an over to go Elliot holed out to leave his skipper to crunch a couple of fours to take us to 130 and him to consolidate his position at the top of the run charts.
A very tight bowling performance from all saw plenty of dots build pressure and inbetween Henry F got the ball to rip through their opener. Elliot's straight lines castled their top scorer before Ryan put in the performance of the innings. He bowled the other opener with his first ball before inducing catches to Henry F and Jacob to have remarkable figures in his two overs. Sam finished things off with the first ball of the 11th over, helped with Ryan's good grab off the net. Well played all. Lets do it again in our last match in a couple of weeks.
