P & S won the toss and decided to bat. Ollie and Jacob opened up the batting and started well. Ollie hit two 4s towards the 3rd man boundary, before being well bowled for 11 runs. Our next few batsmen were out for a low score. Jacob however kept his wicket, whilst still scoring quickly. Josh stayed in from the other end. Jacob retired which brought Elliott to the crease. With some lovely 4s over midwicket, Elliott sped the run rate up before also being bowled. Henri & Josh made sure we batted the rest of the overs.

We were tasked with defending a score of 129, Elliott & Sam opened the bowling and kept good economy. Elliott took a wicket with a good catch from Ollie from behind the stumps. The opener was racking up the runs. Sam then bowled 3rd man out. However the opener & 4th batsman stayed in and batted well to try and aid the chase. Thankfully they both retired and two new batsmen came to the crease. With 4 overs left, Ryan bowled superbly and the two batsmen couldn’t score anywhere near enough. Elliott & Sam then closed the game with two tidy overs each, leaving the opposition 7 runs short of winning.
A very close good even match, due to some great batting & tidy bowling we secured are first win. Well done everyone!
