Match report A tough day for the U11A's away at Grayshott. Missing a number of experienced players and up against a crack Grayshott team this game was always going to be more about gaining valuable experience rather than worrying about final outcomes. Put into bat on a tricky wicket with a number of bowlers seemingly picked from the land of the giants we lost our openers Jacob and Elliott quickly. Sam and Henry did a great job of steadying the ship and ensuring we posted a reasonably competitive total. Shot of the day was a huge six from Henry on his way to a deserved retirement. We did well to last 16 overs with all players showing bravery and heart to try and stick around on a pitch that very much favoured the home teams set of 7 fast bowlers.

Unfortunately our score of 82 was unlikely to be enough and so it proved. Grayshott were able to knock off the runs in just over half of the allocated 18 overs, however i must say that i thought our bowling was much more disciplined and far less wayward than the opposition. We play the same team again next week and fingers crossed we can gain revenge on our home track. Well done everybody and on to the next game.
