Match report Opting to field first we dislodged one opener with a tidy run out but his partner batted soundly to retire. More good work in the field from Ben earned us a second run out but their young number 4 played an excellent hand. An amazing low and juggled caught and bowled from Jacob brought their opener back but with the help of a calm catch from Denil he mopped up two in two. The hat-trick didn't come but he did bowl the number 6 shortly thereafter. Their young gun advanced the score to a significant 138 before Denil kept his head and hit one stump with a ball to go of their allocation.
We had generously donated 42 wides and were left with 139 for the win.
They started as if they might be minded to offer us the win in wides but did well to run Tom out - he did call but from a standing start. After Lenny had walked for a feather behind and both had got going, Cam and Ben perished slipping trying to get back when backing up. With time running out Denil tried his best but he was left with just too much to do as Jacob fell to a catch behind and we ended up 5 down but 18 adrift.
Running is key to this indoor game and we still haven't quite got the flow - next time perhaps chaps.
