Match report A warm Monday evening saw our 9A's take on Sarisbury down at St J's. Debutant skipper Luke won the toss and put us into bat.
Wheeler squared opened up and looked to put the attack to the opposition early. The first few overs the running was very good but it was the 9 bruiting boundaries that set us up with a very healthy 50-0 at the end of the first spell of 4. Next in was the Tom/Owen combination who continued to put pressure on the opposition, the pair judged line well and left the ball when it was necessary but not only that they were very positive in their running meaning that there were only 3 dot balls whilst this partnership was going. When skipper Luke entered the game with partner Charlie the score was on 84-1. Sarisbury started to find their rhythm and with some tight bowling and good fielding meant they started to slow up the run rate. But this wasn't for long as our lads took the attack to the opposition in the back two of their allocated overs which pushed us up into 3 figures with the last pair to walk into the middle. Indie and Gia were the double act who looked to end the first act well. It was a well battled period of play which we just about tipped with a handful of boundaries, including a 5. This left us on a strong 143 at the end of our allocation.
Well our bowlers started as they meant to go on! Every bowler chipped in and in the field we were very tight. A mammoth 15 dismissals means that its hard to give a review for everyone of them. However, it is very fair to suggest that all our bowlers improved and bowled a very consistent line which meant we were too strong a force for the opponents to handle on the day.

A very mature performance gave us a well deserved 82 run win. Great work team - keep it up!
