Match report A sunny and warm, but most importantly dry evening, saw our youngest guns take on our local rivals Portsmouth.
Skipper Sanna lost the toss and we were put into the field. Portsmouth's first pair looked to come at us early but some tight bowling and alert fielding meant that the score didn't get away. In particular Dylan bowled very well early on which included a wicket with his first ball which was pouched between Ollie's legs! Throughout the innings we took wickets at regular intervals and our star bowler was Indie who only went for 2 runs and took 2 scalps in the process. We took 11 wickets which meant that we started our innings on a very healthy 55!
Ollie and Indie gave us a solid start with the bat and ticked it along nicely. After their 4 overs saw the introduction of Joe and Abbie who ran and called fantastically alongside deciding well when was best to leave it. Sanna and honorary P and S player Vi took the bull by the horns upped the scoring rate well, including a lovely 4 from Sanna through mid-wicket. Finally the mixture of the experienced head of Tom and Dylan (who was only in his second game) saw the game off in very mature fashion. Tom even managed to run a 3 when the ball was hit straight back to the bowler!

We looked in full control from start to finish and it was a very satisfying and confident win. Only 2 games left so hopefully this win will be the start of strong end to the season!
