Match report Another super team performance from U11s resulting in a comfortable win. Felix fresh from receiving his Colt of the month award for May was given the captaincy and with the support of his team produced a very good all round bowling and fielding display restricting Locks Heath to 92-7. Elliott, Henry O and William H got us off to a great start with each taking a wicket in their first over. Henry F and Felix also got amongst the wickets and with Elliott taking another two wickets in his second over Locks Heath were struggling to set a big target. Our fielding has improved and was topped off with a fantastic diving catch behind the wicket from Ollie. William P and William H got us off to a solid start with a partnership of 30 with only 1 wicket lost with both hitting a boundary. Elliott and Ryan defended well against their better bowlers and kept us on track allowing the two Henry's to play with freedom and 4 overs later they had put on 51 runs with 7 boundaries between them including 4 in a row from Henry O to all parts of the ground. With captain Felix and Ollie coming to the wicket we just had to make sure we didn't lose wickets, Felix had other ideas and hit a sumptuous cover drive first ball that raced to the boundary, he managed another couple of boundaries to extend our lead and we ended up winning by 50 runs. A good night's work by all and an added bonus Talitha has now learnt how to score!
