Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost By 30 runs

Match report Every game we get more and more experience and while we didn't win this one we showed much better game awareness.
Being asked to bat, opening pair Owen and Indie for us off to a solid start with Indie warming to his task scoring of the last two balls he faced (one of them a boundary). Next up Sanna and Abbie showed their team mates what could be achieved with loud calling (from Sanna) and positive running (both) adding 20 runs to the cause. Our final pair were new boys Ellis (game 2) and Dylan (debut). They were the only pair not lose a wicket, with Dylan crashing 3 fours and Ellis 1 providing an excellent 27 run partnership. We ended having scored 66 runs but having lost 3 wickets game our opposition had a 15 run head start.
Throughout our bowling we stayed in the game well but despit many close calls simply couldn't find the wickets. A couple of excitable over throws got their noses in front despite a really tight set from Owen. We finally got a wicket with the penultimate ball of the match as Indie rounded off an impressive couple of overs by bowling their man. In the end is wasn't quite enough as they mustered 86 runs (+ their 3 wickets) taking them to their 101 score. Our one wicket increased our score to 71. Well done though folks, as always it great to see the progress you are making.
