Match report A superb win tonight from our 13Bs. Losing the toss we were put in to bat first, Oscar and Harrison M went out first and started strong. Harrison was scoring quickly early on and Oscar hit a couple of great boundaries and some singles before being bowled by Burridge's top bowler who then bowled Ged our number 3 out on the next ball. Harrison, who was on over 20 runs by this point, faced the whole of the 4th over which left Elliott E facing their top bowler again in the 5th. Elliott was unusually patient for him and faced 6 dot balls, he told us afterwards he knew he had to just see out the over. After that he went on to hit 35 in 27 balls, including 8 fours. Robert was in next and started quickly with a boundary, both Robert and Harrison retired on 35 a piece, Robert in just 20 balls. Ollie Jackson on his batting debut hit a couple of singles before being bowled leaving Talitha and Ollie C to see out the last few overs which they did with ease. 177 was a huge total to leave Burridge chasing so the team were always going to field with confidence.

Elliott and Talitha saw off their top 3 batsmen in the first 2 overs, Talitha taking 2 wickets in a row on her 3rd and 4th balls. They only gave away a run each in the next 2 overs so the team quickly realised they would probably get the win fairly quickly so mixed the bowling up after that to ensure everyone had a chance. All the players bowled well, the run rate increased a bit but the fielding was really good and Ged was solid behind the stumps. Harrison M made the stop of the match diving to field a fast flying ball one handed. The 4th wicket was a run out then Rob took a great caught and bowled. Harrison's 2nd over was excellent taking 1 wicket for 1 run but the bowling performance of the match has to go to Ollie Jackson in his first 13Bs match, he took 3 wickets assisted by a great catch from Ollie C. Burridge were all out for 77 in the 15th over. It could have been an even earlier finish as we had 4 dropped catches also.

Really good performances all round, well done. We have tough opposition tomorrow away at our local rivals Portsmouth, but if we can stay focused there is no reason we can't make it 4 wins in 4.
