Portsmouth B v Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Under 9B on Mon 27 May 2019 at 6pm
Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost by 26 runs

Match report On a standard chilly seafront bank holiday we chose to field first. Debutant Joseph took our first wicket in the 3rd over thanks to a stinging overhead catch from Thomas. Our second debutant, Ellis hot footed it across from All Stars to showcase his new skills well. In a little purple patch Indie struck with his first ball and Charlie took two in his second over, the first thanks to his own safe hands and the second with Joseph's help. Although Owen, Thomas and Ellis went wicketless they made things tough for our opponents. Portsmouth ended 100-4.
Their opening bowling pair bowled nicely straight and picked up a couple of wickets against Tom & Owen. Further to taking his first wicket, Joseph also collected his first run and Charlie crashed a couple of great 4s. Indie and Ellis rounded off our innings well but we ended up a bit short.
On reflection, judging which balls to block and which to hit hard will give us a better shot in games to come.
Nevertheless, well done to everyone for a great effort this evening.
