Match report Despite suffering our first defeat of the season there were plenty of positives. Locks Heath got to off to a fast start with their top 3 all retiring in quick time, they were helped by some wayward bowling with far too many wides. Elliot and Felix who was bowling off spin for the first time were our most economical bowlers whilst Henry and Ged picked up a wicket each. Talitha's wicketkeeping debut was very promising and our general ground fielding improved as the game went on. LH's total of 163 was always going to be difficult to overcome but we gave it a good shot, Henry and Ollie got us off to a solid start but two run outs, a mix of poor running and direct hits saw the demise of Ollie and Talitha. Henry and Ged rebuilt but the run rate slowed, Henry made a very good 35 and with Rob adding some lusty blows we got a bit closer than looked likely but eventually fell short by 26 runs. Our batting was a big improvement on the previous week, our bowlers need to work on their accuracy with far too many leg side wides.
