Portsmouth v Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Under 9A on Mon 03 Jun 2019 at 6pm
Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Won 19 runs

Match report Away to Portsmouth and as usual the wind down at St Helen's made bowling for both sides a difficult prospect. Portsmouth won the toss and elected to bat first, it was really pleasing to see how well all the team bowled considering they had a number of deliveries that ended up being wide only because of the wind. They stuck to the task resolutely and were unlucky to only pick up two wickets. It was one each for Sam and a really impressive Thomas. Into bat and we were chasing 108 with 10 on the board for our 2 wickets, again the whole team applied themselves really well in difficult conditions and all players scored runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Most pleasing was the running between the wickets from all the pairs and we were able to take real advantage of some wayward bowling from the opposition. Ultimately it was the greater control in our bowling and fielding that was telling and we ran out comfortable winners 147 to 128 with bowling bonuses added. Well done all.
