Match report After losing Matt at 23 in the sixth over, Tom and Ollie added 49 in 19 overs, finding the visiting spinners difficult to dominate. Jack took Ollie’s place and with Tom, increased the total by 50 in a further 13 overs. Tom’s dismissal was quickly followed by Shaun’s and Jack’s. Three wickets had fallen for only six runs with the scoreboard showing 138 for 5 from 40 overs. To their great credit, Dean and Jake put on 80 in the remaining ten overs, to set a respectable target.
That target looked a lot more impressive when Fawley were reduced to two for two with only 10 balls bowled. Munir’s reply was to attack and Jono suffered most. When the score had reached 40, the visitors lost Lush, but the arrival of Crossley provided the ideal support for Munir. Together, they added 109 from 25 overs to set up an away win. Both were out on 149, Munir to a stunning catch by Shaun. Callum Earl and Streather then put on 60 in eleven overs. Neither were there at the finish, but the victory was completed with two overs to spare.
