Match report P&S won the toss and elected to bat. Seth and Sam set off in usual style; running well and putting the fielders under pressure. The top four all achieved 30 or high 20’s and with 4 overs left Tom F came in and scored a quick 16no to give P&S their second highest score of the season, 158 for 3. Eddie Hands and Philip Belcher opened the bowling well with a maiden a piece. With only 8 runs scored off the first 4 overs and a large total to chase the Portsmouth batsmen were under pressure to score runs and a run out ensued. Wickets fell steadily and despite a quick knock of 17 from Teddy Ellis mid innings P&S never looked in trouble. A comfortable win against a good team and 20 league points earned. Well done boys!
