Match report Without the pressure of having to score batting points, P&S won the toss and decided to field. Eddie Hands opened the bowling and keeping a really tight line he cleaned bowled New Milton’s top three batsmen. Philip Belcher also kept them guessing at the other end with some good swing. The spin of Sam Collings-Wells and Seth Jackson proved too much for the New Milton boys and they took 6 wickets between them for just 6 runs, ending the innings in the 14th over for 52 runs. Tom Lavery also took a wicket.

With a relatively small total to chase the boys were excited and eager to get in to bat. Sam Collings-Wells and Seth Jackson opened the batting and with sensible batting and good running they reached 47 in the 7th over before Sam fell on 24, caught and bowled to Toby Edwards. Tom Benfield fell 3 balls later but with only 4 to get the boys weren’t rattled and they achieved their total in the 8th over taking them into the Hampshire Cup Final on Thursday 26th at Hursley Park. Well done to all the boys who played. It was a great team effort with some good fielding and all catches taken.
