Match report Well from a position that looked fairly promising things just fell apart again with our inability to play straight or read spin bowling.Apart from Paul Lowden 15, and Ollie Parvin and Sam Brookes with 12 each, the rest of the scorecard makes for sorry reading.
Defending a total of 52 was always going to be a tall order but although a couple of chances were spilled no one let the team down in bowling or fielding.
It was therefore disappointing to hear open criticism by a small minority against team mates who did nothing wrong other than not being part of the circle of friends. This does nothing for team spirit or morale.
Biggest disappointment was that we have proudly built a reputation for good sportsmanship this season, but let ourselves down badly in protesting against umpiring decisions. Again iit was only a small minority who were guilty but resulted in afirm lecture after the game The size of audience is not really relevant, but unfortunately this was in front of a fair size crowd. Please learn THE UMPIRE IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!
