Match report Batting first the match started at a fairly slow pace, but good batting by Rob Middlewick, who chanced his arm early on, scoring 23 well supported by George Parvin 18 n.o. put us in a reasonable position, until a complete collapse, losing 5 wickets for no runs against spin bowling that was just not read combined with poor appreciation of positioning to avoid stumping put us on the back foot. A reasonable score was only achieved by an excellent knock of 30 n.o. by Tim Mills.
The words of wisdom to "keep things tight early on" resulted in 32 runs being conceded off the first 3 overs!!!!
After that it was a lesson in batting techniqe resulting in Hambledon achieving their target in 11.1 overs.
