Match report On a hot evening, with England playing Belgium, our minds could well have been elsewhere. However, a much more disciplined bowling performance than we have managed of late restricted our hosts to 151 (remember small boundaries, lightning quick outfield and 9 a-side). Highlights of our performance were Joel's three wickets and Davo's smart catch for one of those.
In the chase Freddie helped himself to boundaries off the first 3 balls he faced and kept going at almost the same pace. Unfortunately one of the few hits he didn't middle led to Alex's run out. Tristan was striking at over 200% too when he called a cheeky leg bye with Stan but was found short. Nevertheless with Umar finding the boundary with regularity and Stan smiting the only 6 of the evening we were still coasting at 10+ an over. So come the 16th over an early wide saw us home.
