Match report Half term saw us without a number of regulars so up stepped U12s Harrison and Tom. League leaders Hambledon chose to bat and started well. After both openers retired we upped our game as Freddie then Josh and finally Tom helped us to three run outs. The penultimate over from Josh picked up our other two wickets with Alex and Freddie measuring angles well and completing catches. However, set over 150 meant we had a stiff task ahead.
The task got harder as we lost Freddy early but Alex and Tristan fought back well. While Tristan got back in the hutch Alex was finally caught with a thunderbolt intercepted before the back wall. Josh and Tom both batted well and ran as well as anyone all night. Ultimately we ended well short but a valiant effort all round. Congrats to the young guns who played up, the experience will serve them well.
